Shaping the future of aerospace and being aware of the challenges for our society is important to us.

This is why we are active in a number of associations, working groups, liaise with research, and science institutes in order drive the changes of tomorrow together with the most important partners in the industry.

Memberships

bavAIRia eV was commissioned with the management of the cluster Aerospace by the Bavarian State Government. The aim of bavAIRia is to identify the core competencies in Bavarian aerospace and space applications and to create stronger links between the key personnel in order to increase the global competitiveness of these industries. The members and stakeholders of bavAIRia eV represent the entire industry and research landscape of Bavaria.

Telespazio VEGA Deutschland, with its office site in Gilching and its important business relations to Bavaria based organisations, such as DLR in Weilheim and Oberpfaffenhofen as well as spaceopal, is a member of bavAIRia eV.

Telespazio VEGA is one of more than 200 members of the "Bundesverband der Deutschen Luft- und Raumfahrtindustrie e.V. (BDLI)". The BDLI represents the interests of the German aerospace industry, with its current 106.800 direct employees (Source: BDLI Website Q2 2017)

Within the BDLI, we are active in the Space Forum , a forum consisting of the CEOs and top management of the leading German space companies. In addition, we participate in several working groups such as

The German Aerospace Association DGLR is a non-profit organisation that focuses on research and technology within the Aerospace domain. DGLR is the meeting point for all interested in these topics. DGLR supports technical and scientific progress in the Aerospace domain and organises regular workshops as well as conferences.

Telespazio VEGA Deutschland staff supports DGLR as elected member of the senate and contribute to the activities of DGLR working groups.

The German Institute of Navigation (DGON) is a non-profit organisation that supports technical and scientific progress specifically in the navigation domain. It is structured by means of sections that focus on aviation, land traffic and the maritime applications as well as working groups on supporting technologies. DGON organises conferences and workshops and maintains an international network of experts (www.dgon.de).

Telespazio VEGA Deutschland staff is active in the DGON council, the scientific council as well as leading a working group on space technologies. Beside individual memberships of staff, Telespazio VEGA Deutschland is also an institutional member of DGON.

The German Federal ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy is taking steps to actively shape digitalisation. A dedicated Digital Strategy has been created to address the changes for our economy and society.

Telespazio VEGA Deutschland is member of a Focus Group addressing the “Gigabit Society” from a digital connectivity and mobility perspective.

​The German Association for Defence Technology (DWT) is, as a non-profit organization, committed to the national security provisions of the Federal Republic of Germany. The DWT was established in 1957 on the initiative of the defence department of the Ministry of Defense (MoD). Today it has about 275 sponsors and about 870 individual members. The DWT aims to promote awareness on key issues of security and defence policy and defence and security technology and the defence industry.

Telespazio VEGA Deutschland is member in DWT and regularly participates at DWT events to develop the German Defence market.

​Eurospace is the trade association of the European Space Industry. It is a non-profit European organisation created in 1961. Eurospace member companies today represent 90% of the total turnover of the European Space Industry. Eurospace fosters the development of space activities in Europe and promotes a better understanding of space industry related issues and problems.

Telespazio VEGA Deutschland is an active member of Eurospace.

​Created in 1951 to foster the dialogue between scientists around the world and support international cooperation in all space-related activities, the IAF to this day continues to connect space people. The Federation is the world’s leading space advocacy body with 246 members, including all key space agencies, companies, societies, associations and institutes across 61 countries.

Over 40 administrative and technical committees support the Federation in its mission to advance knowledge about space and to foster the development of space assets by facilitating global cooperation. At its annual International Astronautical Congress (IAC) and other thematic conferences, the IAF brings its multidisciplinary and international network to life.

Telespazio VEGA Deutschland is member of the IAF and also holds positions on technical committees.

​The International Committee on Technical Interchange for Space Mission Operations and Ground Data Systems (SpaceOps Organization, also known as the SpaceOps Committee) is a spacecraft operations oriented international association consisting of representatives from most of the space-faring nations. SpaceOps was founded in 1990 to foster continuous technical interchange on all aspects of space mission operations and ground data systems, and to promote and maintain an international community of space operations experts.

The forum for discussing state-of-the-art operations principles, methods, and tools are the SpaceOps biennial symposia held at varying locations and hosted and organized by a selected space agency.

Telespazio VEGA Deutschland is member of SpaceOps and is also involved in the organisation of SpaceOps as well as holds positions in the technical committees.

The Unternehmerverband Südhessen is the employers‘ association of the region of south Hesse in Germany. A diverse range of services, from employment law advice and representation to supporting recruiting is available to its members.

Telespazio VEGA Deutschland has its roots in the region of Hesse and is an active member of the UVSH, ensuring to be always up to date with German regulations.

The German Association for Unmanned Aviation (Verband für Unbemannte Luftfahrt, VUL), founded in 2017, aims for a sustainable and safe development of the drone market in Germany and Europe. It has committed itself to the creation of a binding set of rules for users and operators. The association is a joint initiative of the German Aviation Industries’ Association (BDL) and the German Aerospace Industries’ Association (BDLI). Telespazio VEGA Deutschland is a member of the VUL through its work in the “Unmanned Aviation” Working Group of the BDLI.
