Specific missions require permanent surveillance, maintenance and support through qualified staff in order to ensure safety and mission success.

Our experience

For more than 40 years, Telespazio VEGA Deutschland’s service teams have been deployed all over the world to run the operations in over 70 missions, supporting customers such as the European Space Agency (ESA), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) and the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT).

Typically supporting our customers at their own premises, our teams are experienced in a broad range of ground station infrastructure, control centre systems and subsystems, payloads, platforms and networks.

We build on a long track record of operating spacecraft in many domains, requiring different operational concepts and experts. We are particularly proud of our operations services in:

  • Earth Observation programmes such as Copernicus
  • Astronomical missions like LISA Pathfinder
  • Satellite Navigation like Galileo
  • Interplanetary spacecraft such as Rosetta, BepiColombo and ExoMars
  • Interplanetary landers like Huygens, Philae and MASCOT
  • Manned missions like our support to the ISS.
