Summary / Objectives

The specific objectives of the MOS section are:

  • Evolve expertise in MOS systems with our existing clients;

  • Establish a strong portfolio of projects and services; 

  • Identify new trends and technologies;

  • Build MOS products and IPR inline with the company 

As the Section Head you will play a key role in meeting these objectives, taking the ownership of the tactical day to day planning as well as the overall strategy. 

It is expected that the Section Head besides the business development support, delivery management and group leader responsibility will actively participate in studies, projects and/or product development in the respective area of competence.

Responsibilities / Duties

  • Evolve and execute the department strategy in the area of mission operation systems;

  •  Maintain a high level of technical knowledge, monitor trends in the market and actively seek to understand the need of our customer’s within this domain;

  • Support Sales and Business development in the acquisition of new projects for the Department, Division and the Section in particular;

  • Be the Project / Service manager on smaller engagements;

  • Be the Delivery Manager of all projects assigned to/carried out by the MOS Section staff;

  • Be the Group Leader (i.e. be the line manager) of a group of 5-15 engineers specialized in the respective area of competence;

  • Identify potential products and develop business plans for their implementation;

  • Establish a staffing plan and assign the staff of the Section to the projects carried out by the Section, support and co-ordinate the staff with the Division Head in case the Section is “understaffed” or “overstaffed” for the projects assigned.

Qualifications / Experience

Degree in software engineering or similar.

Essential Skills

  • Good view of the market for mission operation systems;

  • Motivated and driven, flexible and open, with high development potential;

  • Team player;

  • Excellent technical knowledge within the business area;

  • Experience with institutional MCS solutions (SCOS, EGSCC, etc).

Desirable Skills

  • Proven track record in strategic planning;

  • Experience in Project / Service Management.
