This is a great opportunity to become part of the ongoing paradigm shift in the space sector. You will join an exciting and ambitious program REVOLUTIONIZING how ground segments of space missions are built, operated and commercialized.

To address the growing commercial NEWSPACE economy, Telespazio Vega is investing and creating a complete NEW platform for the operations of space missions. We are INVENTING the next generation of ground software and are looking to hire BRILLIANT minds to shape this exciting project with us!

Several positions available. You will join our highly dynamic NewSpace team, consisting of IT engineers (architects, developers), space specialists and business profiles (product management, sales); leveraging a massive space domain expertise gained over the last 40 years. The best of two worlds.


We are looking for innovators, who come with no preconceptions but instead with disruptive ideas; either from outside the space industry; or within the space industry and eager to change it!

Outside of the space industry: you have strong expertise in DevOps and want to shape a new initiative from the beginning. You dream of becoming a ‘digital transformation guru’ in a sector that really needs it. Join us in the space industry; there is a lot of cool stuff to do – and yes, your software will fly spacecraft!

Already in the space industry: you’ve worked with the "traditional" ground systems, discovered the conservative mentalities, and…felt a big frustration! Fear not! Join our new start-up section and build with us this new end-to-end product from scratch, using only the most modern technologies: cloud-native apps hosted on containers, leveraging AWS services and non-space software, high-end DevOps with Kubernetes... Finally, you will be free to do real innovation!


  • Coach our space domain experts on DevOps concepts and technologies
  • Communicate your innovative ideas and inspire for new approaches, keeping up to date with the newest trends and innovations
  • Participate in the definition of the DevOps roadmap
  • Design, setup, maintain, monitor and grow the cloud-hosted CD/CI tool chain
  • Work closely with infrastructure and development team members to troubleshoot build and deployment issues
  • Monitor the toolchain performance and address bottlenecks
  • Participate in the definition of a space-specific service catalogue for our clients
  • Participate in the configuration of AWS services
  • Continuously push for more automation in the DevOps chain and to take its scope further and further
  • Write technical documentation in English language
  • Attend technical meetings (in English) with clients and partners
  • Think! And be creative!


  • Degree and/or professional experience in DevOps, CD/CI, and software validation & deployment
  • Experience building modern software outside of the space industry is a plus

Essential Skills

  • Proven expertise with the end-to-end toolchain, i.e. automated testing frameworks, CI/CD tools, configuration management, collaboration tools, etc.
  • Strong understanding of modern DevOps methodologies
  • Knowledge of containerization techniques, micro-services architecture, Kubernetes, Docker and/or similar systems
  • Experience in automating large-scale deployments with modern software configuration management tools, ideally on AWS or similar cloud platforms
  • Experience creating scripts in a DevOps context
  • Past successes in taking ownership and growing or extending an existing tool chain
  • Experience working in the context of highly Agile development processes
  • Inventor mentality, creative personality
  • Future-oriented mindset…burning for innovation

Desirable Skills

  • Experience interacting with third party service providers
  • Experience with AWS automation tools
  • Experience with Test-Driven Development, ideally in a complex system following a micro-services architecture
  • Exposure to operational aspects of space missions
