This is an opportunity for an experienced SW Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in developing SMP2 models in C++.

You are a fan of both computer science and spacecraft missions? You would like to develop software using modern techniques and at the same time play a role in the coming satellite missions? You would like to work in an international and informal environment?

In this position, you will play a key role in one of the simulator development teams.

This position is based in our Headquarter in Europahaus in Darmstadt, Germany. It is full-time and permanent and expected starting date will be earliest August 2019.

The senior software engineer will participate in all aspects of the software life cycle from design through development, support and re-engineering, validation and maintenance, with a focus on delivering high quality reliable software to satisfy our demanding customers.

The systems are Linux based and are developed in C++ using the SMP2 standard and the ESA/ESOC SIMSAT/SIMULUS suite.

English documentation and effective support to customer on-site is also required.


  • A university degree in a technical domain (e.g. informatics, engineering, computer science, math).
  • Strong model development experience in C++ using the SMP2 standard and the ESA/ESOC SIMSAT/SIMULUS suite
